Crimsafe has many imitators, but there is no equivalent

What sets us apart?

Extended Warranty up to 15 years

We back our products with a 10-year Warranty as standard, with the option to extend to 12-years for Crimsafe Regular or Crimsafe Classic, and up to 15-years for Crimsafe Ultimate or Crimsafe iQ.

Strongest Security Screen doors in Australia

Only Crimsafe has passed the RC2 Test – a series of burglar resistance tests considered more stringent than those specified within the Australian Standard.

Constantly innovating

Crimsafe might have with the strongest and largest range of security screens on the market, but we’re not going to stop there. We’re always looking for ways to set new benchmarks in the industry.

What makes Crimsafe so strong?

The technology behind our market-leading screens doesn’t just meet the Australian Standards, it beats them. Crimsafe’s combination of unique elements work together to provide the highest level of protection for your family.

Only Crimsafe’s unique Screw-Clamp™ technology can deliver unrivalled protection for your family and home.

For a security screen door to be effective, it needs to work as a system, flexing and absorbing the impact it receives. Things like welded corners, plastic wedges, pop-rivets or even glue are frequently used by inferior competitor products to hold inferior mesh into their frames. These features are easy for criminals to break through as they only localise the impact and make these screens relatively easy to kick through in a matter of seconds.

Our Screw-Clamp™ technology secures the mesh to the frame using tamper-resistant screws to form a vice-like grip. When impacted by a crowbar or kick, this technology reinforces our screens with exceptional strength and allows Crimsafe to withstand tremendous force by absorbing and dispersing impact around the frame.

The science behind the System

The clamp-hook is a key feature of Crimsafe’s Screw-Clamp™ System. The clamp-hook allows the clamp itself to be effectively secured to the frame while holding the mesh in place.

This allows the system to withstand enormous impact by dispersing the force of the impact around the edges of the frame.

No other security system in Australia utilises a clamp hook to help distribute force in this way.

Tensile-Tuff® mesh

Crimsafe’s Tensile-Tuff® mesh is made using superior 0.9mm diameter 304 structural-grade stainless steel wire strands and is up to 26.5% thicker in the cross-section than other competitor screens on the market. As a result, Crimsafe screens have a higher tensile strength and are stronger and more resistant to attack.

316 vs 304 grade mesh – understanding the difference

While most competitors use a 0.8mm 316 marine-grade mesh, Crimsafe insists on the higher tensile strength that only the 304 structural-grade mesh delivers. Tensile strength is a measurement of the force required to stretch something to the point where it breaks. The high tensile strength of 304 mesh allows the Crimsafe Tensile-Tuff® mesh to elongate and stretch when impacted, further adding to the superior strength of the Screw-Clamp™ system.

Brittle or flexible?

316 mesh needs to be tempered higher (the process of heat treating to increase the toughness of iron-based alloys) to make it tough enough to pass Australian Standards. This process, however, results in the 316 mesh being more brittle and less able to absorb energy and change form without breaking. It is the unique combination of our Screw-Clamp™ technology and Tensile-Tuff® 304 structural-grade stainless steel mesh that makes Crimsafe the most superior, versatile and strongest security screen on the market.

Peace of mind for up to 15 years

Crimsafe customers have the option to extend their warranty up to 12-years for Regular and Classic, or up to 15-years for Ultimate and iQ – just another reason why Crimsafe has been the leading security screen provider in Australia for 25 years
